PATT40 Liverpool

PATT up North!

“I am delighted to announce that Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) will host the 40th international Pupils’ Attitudes Towards Technology research conference in 2023!”

Matt McLain – PATT40 Conference Chair

Located in the North West of England, Liverpool is an historically import port with a rich history from its foundation in 1207. Famous for its grand architecture, football teams, and the Beetles, amongst others, the city has a thriving and diverse culture. However, it also has a darker history, with the part it played in the transatlantic slave trade and more recently in the Toxteth riots in 1981.

LJMU can trace its roots back to 1823 and the foundation of Liverpool Mechanics’ and Apprentices’ Library. We’ve come a long way since then, becoming a university in 1992 and we are now ranked 109 in The Times Higher Education Young University Rankings 2022.

“An inclusive civic university transforming lives and futures, by placing students at the heart of everything we do”

Mark Power – Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive
